- After your involvement in a traumatic car accident, how did your plans for the future change?
Students can think critically about how their accident influenced their lives and altered their goals for the future. Students may have reconsidered their futures based on severe physical losses or emotional transformations.
Upon completing their video essays, students can upload those videos as unlisted content to YouTube. Students may then include a link to their unlisted video when completing the scholarship application form on the MartinWren, P.C. website.
Tips and Tricks for Creating Video Essays
When creating their video essays, students must:
- Record their videos in well-lit areas while holding their recording device of choice as still as possible.
- Mention their full name and the name of the scholarship they are applying for either at the beginning or at the end of their video, and give credits as necessary.
- Specify any sources of information and the media editing tools used in crafting and creating their videos in the description of the video.
- Use only copyright-free content, and come up with a creative, catchy title that reflects their ideas.
While students may use media editing software, including Adobe Creative Cloud, to increase the quality of their content, use of editing software is not compulsory. MartinWren, P.C. will not prioritize highly-edited video essays over unedited videos.
Students may not use AI to automatically generate videos, create fake actors, or otherwise avoid appearing in their own video essays. Inappropriate use of AI will result in the automatic disqualification of a student’s application from the scholarship selection process.

Students have until August 31, 2025, to complete their scholarship video essays and other application materials. MartinWren, P.C. will not consider applications submitted after this deadline.
