In 2013, the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida incorporated the Scholarship Committee into a  501-c3 known as the Florida Asphalt Scholarship Program (FASP). FASP collects money and distributes it to students whose success would benefit the Asphalt Industry.

These scholarships are available to anyone entering college or trade school whose parent, parents, or legal guardian is a member or is employed by a member of the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida.

Carroll Lance Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available to any Florida resident that is a graduating high school senior in 2025 and whose parent, parents or legal guardian is employed by a firm that is a member of the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida. This recipient must be a student seeking a degree at an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Business, or Computer Science/Information Technology. This scholarship will be presented to selected applicants onetime, with amount varying at the judgment of the Board of FASP.

The Mike Novak Memorial Scholarship

Our newest scholarship starting in 2022 is a single-year scholarship of $2,500. Scholarships are available to any graduating high school senior in 2025. The applicants’ parents or legal guardian must be employed by a firm that is a member of the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida. This scholarship is designed for students seeking a degree at an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Business, or Computer Science/Information Technology.

The FASP Chair's Scholarship

This scholarship is available to any Florida resident that is a graduating high school senior in 2025 and whose parent, parents or legal guardian is employed by a firm that is a member of the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida. This recipient must be a student seeking a degree at an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Business, or Computer Science/Information Technology. This scholarship will be presented to selected applicants in the amount of $4,000 per year for four years or adjusted at the judgment of the FASP Committee.

The FASP College Scholarship

This scholarship is available to any Florida resident that is a graduating high school senior in 2025 and whose parent, parents or legal guardian is employed by a firm that is a member of the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida. This recipient should be a student seeking a degree at an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Business, or Computer Science/Information Technology. This scholarship will be presented to selected applicants one time in the amount of $2,500 or adjusted at the judgment of the FASP Committee.

ACAF Scholarship

These scholarships are available to any Florida resident that is graduating high school in 2025, has already graduated high school, or has a GED. The applicant must be under 25 years old and whose parent, parents or legal guardian is employed by a firm who is a member of the Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida. These scholarships are designed for students seeking continued education in an accredited trade or vocational-technical school in mechanical, electrical, welding programs and represent trades that are needed in the asphalt industry and other construction-related industries. These scholarships will be presented to selected applicants one time in the amount of $2,500, or adjusted at the judgement of the FASP Committee.
