The Polish American Club of North Jersey Scholarships are awarded to qualified members of the Polish American Club of North Jersey. Scholarship amount varies. Awards are made by the Kosciuszko Foundation on behalf of the PACNJ. Funding is only for full-time studies in the United States.

This program is made possible by generous donations from individuals and companies dedicated to fostering scholarly and scientific exchanges between Poland and the United States.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025 ARE CLOSED. APPLICATIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-2026 WILL BE OPEN IN NOVEMBER, 2024.

ELIGIBILITY

  • citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States
  • must be of Polish descent;
  • be a graduating high school senior or
  • a college freshman, sophomore, or junior at the time of application;
  • must be an active member of the Polish American Club of North Jersey (minimum 2 years);
  • and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Children and grandchildren of Club members are eligible.

Only one member per immediate family may receive a Polish American Club of North Jersey Scholarship during any given academic year.  Scholarships are renewable, however, students must reapply for funding.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Selection is based on application completeness, the recommendations of teachers and professors, academic excellence and achievements, applicant’s interests,  motivation, the applicant’s essay, interest in Polish subjects or involvement in the Polish American community. Financial need is taken into consideration.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

A complete application includes the following materials:

  1. Scholarship Application and Financial Information Form
  2. Statement of Purpose/essay
  3. Admission Letter, if applicable
  4. Proof of Polish Ancestry
  5. Photo
  6. Curriculum Vitae
  7. Official Transcripts
  8. Two Letters of Recommendations. This requirement is waived if an applicant is already enrolled in the college, received a scholarship during a freshmen year and is applying for the renewal.
  9. $40 non-refundable application fee.
