Awarded on the basis of academic excellence, this scholarship helps finance the educational endeavors of undergraduate or graduate students concentrating, or with demonstrated interest, in real estate appraisal and/or valuation.

$1,500 (tuition only)

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Applicant must be a student majoring in real estate appraisal, land economics, real estate or allied fields and with a demonstrated interest in real estate appraisal and/or valuation.
  • Applicant must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Masters Candidate or Doctoral Candidate.
  • Applicant must be a full or part-time student at a U.S. degree-granting college or university.
  • Applicant must have a strong academic record.
  • Scholarship award must be used in the same academic year it is awarded.
  • Eligible recipients may receive only one (1) AIERF Scholarship per year.
  • Applicant must complete the online application and attach the following materials:
  1. Essay; Two-hundred (200) word personal statement discussing academic achievements, financial need, career aspirations, involvement in real estate field, and any qualifications considered relevant by the applicant.
  2. Resume; Current Resume (Preference given to applicants with an appraisal internship).
  3. Transcripts; Copies of all college transcripts.
  4. Letters of Recommendation; Two (2) letters of recommendation attesting to applicant’s work ethic, character and pursuit of career in real estate appraisal, land economics, real estate or allied fields.

Conditions

  • Any awards granted will be paid directly to the Academic Institution identified on the application and may be used for tuition only.
  • All portions of the application must be completed and all information supplied must be accurate, otherwise the application will not be eligible for consideration.
