Awarded to Nebraska residents who have demonstrated high academic success and who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in finance, accounting, economics, marketing or another banking-related major.

To qualify, students must:

  • Attend one of the Nebraska state or privately funded colleges or universities (excludes UNK, UNL and UNO)
  • Bellevue University
  • Chadron State College
  • College of St. Mary
  • Concordia University
  • Creighton University
  • Doane University
  • Hastings College
  • Midland University
  • Nebraska Wesleyan University
  • Peru State College
  • Union College
  • Wayne State College
  • York University​
  • Be a legal resident of Nebraska
  • Be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in finance, accounting, economics, marketing or another banking-related major
  • Have achieved at least a junior- or senior-level status in college by the following fall academic year
  • Earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Begin by completing the first part of the application using the form below. The second part requires additional documentation which can be submitted at a later date.

Are there any other documents I need to apply?

Right now, no. The applicants that meet the NBA Foundation Scholarship requirements will receive communication via email about additional material needed to move forward with the selection process. Applicants will be asked to provide all the following by January 31:

  • Resume
  • Unofficial transcript
  • Essay
  • 300 words max; 200 words min
  • Answer the following questions in your essay
  • What are your career goals?
  • How will the banking industry play a role in your future career?
  • Letter of recommendation from an employee of an NBA-member bank
