Betty was vivacious and always pursued a new project or hobby. She was involved in all forms of visual arts and loved sharing it with others. The intent of this scholarship is to support someone with a continually creative mind who enjoys creating art.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must:
  • Be a graduating high school senior.
  • Currently reside in Boone, Ogle, or Winnebago County.
  • Plan to pursue a degree in visual arts, visual art education, or visual art history.
  • Be involved in organizations and activities focused on visual arts.

Specifications

Academic performance will be given moderate priority in the selection process.

For the purposes of this scholarship, visual arts is defined as creative art whose products are to be appreciated by sight, such as painting, sculpture, and film.
